F*cking Good Cheesesteaks

Ando, the fast-casual food delivery app from renowned chef David Chang, was on a mission to bring unapologetically delicious food to the masses. Rather than succumbing to the latest food trends and Instagram fads, Ando celebrates the joy of eating by simply making “f**king good food”. To bring the Ando experience from the digital space to the physical realm, they enlisted our help to create the “Ando Kitchen” pop-up. Our design leveraged the juxtaposition of the app’s clean, modern aesthetic with the raw energy of a street vendor, incorporating neon lights, steel gates, and graffiti against a white space with pops of red to create a dynamic and unique atmosphere.

Located in the heart of a bustling block, the “Ando Kitchen” needed to make a bold statement. Our design minimized extraneous signage and relied on the impact of a giant red “A” against the white building, creating an immediate visual impact. We also developed a suite of custom icons for the menu, as well as designing assets such as hot sauce labels, flyers, t-shirts, cold case shelves, and packaging, creating a cohesive brand identity across all touchpoints. The result was a surprising and delightful brand experience that brought the essence of Ando to life.
